It is with great excitement and enthusiasm that we share our plans for the first MMCA Show + Tell student porfolio review. Our goal is to reinvent the typical portfolio review and encourage art students, of all disciplines, to prepare and feel comfortable showing their work. The Show + Tell will be open to all students in the following degree programs: print, broadcast, digital/web, photography, videography, and interactive.
Admission into the Show + Tell makes students eligible for prizes and additional opportunities to connect with participating professionals and businesses after the event. Light refreshments will be served.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the January luncheon. It was great to here Rob Bliss—a 23 year old creative event organizer from downtown Grand Rapids. Mr. Bliss is a creator of free, fun, inclusive community events, and has been a key figure in the revitalization in the downtown area.

MMCA Holiday Invitation Competition—Call for Entries!
Congrats to Kendra Barrett, our holiday invitation winner! Kendra is a design student at Central Michigan University. If you’d like to see more of her skills, visit her portfolio site. Kendra will graduate from CMU in the spring of 2012 with a BFA in Graphic Design and a Minor in Art History and is a member of Design Herd- CMU Graphic Design RSO. She is a designer and artist raised in Williamston, Michigan. If you see Kendra, give her a high five.
